INALLIANCE participant clocking in at work1952: A group of parents seeking to enrich the lives of their children with developmental disabilities founded INALLIANCE as a day program
1980: A sheltered workshop was established
1982: The sheltered workshop had grown from 70 participants to 200
1984: INALLIANCE transitioned to a Supported Employment program, placing more than 200 consumers in integrated employment sites
David Engberg receives INALLIANCE services and acts as a member of the INALLIANCE Board of Directors and1993: INALLIANCE began Supported Living Services
1995: Began serving consumers in El Dorado County
2006: Began serving consumers in Sutter Buttes Region
2009: Opened a new office in Placerville

Today, INALLIANCE has eight programs in Sacramento, Sutter, El Dorado, Colusa, Placer, Nevada, Yolo and Yuba counties, provides services for 400+ consumers with a staff of 200+, and works with more than 100 local employers offering job opportunities. In late 2009, INALLIANCE celebrated the grand opening of an office in Placerville.

An INALLIANCE Supported Living Services participant at workINALLIANCE is a United Way Agency and a fully accredited agency of the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. In addition, INALLIANCE is the recipient of three outstanding performance awards from the National Industry for the Severely Handicapped, a County commendation for outstanding community services, and the Human Rights Award from the City and County of Sacramento. In 2008, INALLIANCE was recognized by the First Lady of California, Maria Shriver for over 57 years of service to the community at the INALLIANCE Employer Appreciation Reception.
